Tuana Coskun Earns Third Team All-Patriot League

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell junior forward Tuana Coskun has been named Third Team All-Patriot League in her second season with the Bison.
Coskun has been an integral part of the Bucknell women's basketball team this season playing in 28 games and starting in 27 of them. The junior leads the Bison in points per game as she averages 13, which is 2.6 points per game higher than the next leading scorer.
The forward has shot 40.2 percent from the field and 32 percent from three in the regular season. She also had the highest free-throw percentage on the team as she went 47-56 (83.9 percent).
Along with being the leading scorer, Coskun was also a major facilitator for the Bucknell offense as she notched 59 total assists on the season to lead the team in assists per game with two.
The Turkey native has been a big presence on defense for the Bison this season as well as she recorded 22 steals and 12 blocks on the year.
Coskun re-wrote her career-highs this season and got her name etched in Bucknell's record book in the Bison's 102-26 victory over Gwynedd Mercy. The forward tied the single game individual record at Bucknell and set a new career-high with eight made three pointers as she tied Molly Creamer in the honor. She also notched a new career-high 33 points and 12 field goals made in the win.
She also set new career highs in rebounds (14 at Penn State), made free throws (6 vs Holy Cross), assists (5 three times) and blocks (3 three times).
In her two years thus far with Bucknell, Coskun has recorded 231 made field goals, 65 made three's, 70 made free-throws, 111 assists, 24 blocks, 43 steals, 198 rebounds and 597 total points.
The No. 7 Bucknell women's basketball team opens Patriot League Championships play on Saturday with its first round game against No. 10 Colgate in Sojka Pavilion. Tip off is set for 4 p.m.
