Bryce Neal is set to begin his first season as an assistant coach on the Bucknell softball staff. Neal joined the Bison in December of 2020 after spending the previous season as a volunteer assistant with the Arizona State softball program.
Neal helped coach an Arizona State offense that ranked top five nationally in home runs, walks and scoring last season. The Sun Devils were 22-7 with Neal on the staff in 2020, and the team ended the year by outscoring its final five opponents 39-0.
Neal has also worked as a private instructor and spent five years coaching one-on-one private lessons at Perfect Timing Baseball and Softball in Springdale, Ark. In 2019 he worked as a camp instructor for LSU softball.
From 2013 to 2015, Neal served as a director and coach for Midwest Nationals Baseball in Springfield, Mo., where he was in charge of developing training programs as well as travel logistics.
Neal earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith in 2015, where he was a member of the Lions baseball team.
