Update from Head Rowing Coach Steve Kish -- May 2024
Greetings from the Susquehanna River,
Â
The team is tapering and preparing for the Patriot League Championships on Friday, May 17 in Cherry Hill, N.J.. Please keep an eye on our webpage for the schedule if you plan to attend or perhaps watch the livestream. As for the past couple of months, the team has been grinding, but it also feels like time has been flying by.
Â
These last few weeks have been the most exciting, with one first and two second-place finishes (out of 10) at the George Mason Invite, and then solid wins over UConn here at home for Senior Day and then a sweep of Lehigh this past weekend, also here at home. Other highlights include:
Â
Thanks once again to everyone who participated in the One Herd One Day initiative at the end of March. We are closer to reaching our fundraising goal for the year, but still a step away from being able to go to Clemson, S.C., for our training trip in January. If possible, I hope you will consider a gift to the program before the end of this fiscal year.
Â
Warmest regards,
Â
