V8, V4 Earn Wins over UConn on Senior Day
SHAMOKIN DAM, Pa. – The Bucknell rowing team earned wins in the Varsity Eight, Varsity Four, and Third Varsity Eight races in a dual with Connecticut on Sunday morning on the Susquehanna River.
The 1V8+ finished in 6:12.01, just over five seconds ahead of the Huskies top boat. UConn returned the favor with a seven-second win in the 2V8+ race, but Bucknell's 1V4+ won by open water to give the Bison two of the three wins among the championship boats.
After the race, Bucknell honored its seniors in its annual Oar Ceremony. This year's senior class includes Haley Beardsley, Juliette Gaggini, Molly Garrahy, Abby Gerst, Annabelle Kaeli, Abby Malek, Amanda Pennett, and Dehlia Rotchford.

Bucknell has two more home events coming up next weekend. The Bison will compete against Robert Morris on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Lehigh on Sunday at 11 a.m.
