Hi Bison Family,
Â
I hope everyone's new year is off to a great start! The team is finally back from a well-deserved winter break, and we are now getting back into the swing of things. We have officially kicked off our spring season. The team is starting the year off with indoor practices at the Miller Center, which is a fun way to escape from the cold weather and work on our technical skills and mental sharpness while being on a faster court and in a smaller space. This helps us in a variety of ways that translate well on the field once we head back outdoors. Our student-athletes are also excited to be lifting heavy again with Reece, our strength coach, twice a week! We look forward to seeing the team's progress as they get stronger and faster in the weight room and enhance their hand and mental skills on the field. Â
Â
We have a significant 24-hour period approaching for our program. The annual One Herd One Day 24-Hour Giving Challenge will be on March 26-27 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Our program has historically been competitive with the sports across the athletic department during the challenge, but we are hoping to take that to the next level this spring. If you have not made a gift to field hockey or would like to help us win the challenge with an additional gift, please consider supporting these athletes in the One Herd One Day event.Â
Â
This team continues to head in a positive direction and will continue to work extremely hard in the classroom as well as on the field to make you all proud and achieve our goals. Your continued support inspires our group to stick to the process, continue to build our team culture, and work hard to accomplish the goals we set for this program. We want to thank you for your generosity and appreciate everything you do and have done for our program. We can't wait to grow as a united group with positive sites set for Fall 2024!
Â
Thank you again, and Go Bison!
 Â
Go Bison!
Kelsey
