Hi Bison Family,
I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! As the year comes to an end, I sit here and reflect on a journey that was filled with highs and some lows, but ultimately, I think about the competitive spirit this team had and improved upon daily. While we may not have won the Patriot League Championship title, this team's collective efforts throughout the season have created a resilient team culture that bodes well for this program's future.
We had a challenging schedule, which continuously gave the team opportunities for growth. The ups and downs of both winning and losing tight games became a great stepping stone that will only help us learn from these situations and become better for it next season. The biggest highlight was the progression of seeing this team's determination, fight to win for each other, and never give up attitude. This type of commitment was such a wonderful improvement from last year, and it made me so proud to see this become a staple in our team culture.Â
What set this season apart was the strengthened team culture. The bonds formed on and off the field, the support amongst each other during the tough times, and the celebrations of the team's successes as a whole created a unity that became a driving force behind our team's resilience and determination. I loved seeing the competitive spirit lift in more players; the intensity and engagement at practice became more apparent, which helped us prepare for our challenging games, and the group held each other more accountable to uphold the standards we set for each other on and off the field. These are just a few examples of the great development we are making to become an even more successful program.Â
I am sure this group is disappointed in not winning the championship, but we must recognize the progress. This program is heading in the right direction, and the signs of our growing competitive excellence are evident. The lessons learned may be difficult to process now, but they are the building blocks you need for future success. I look forward to the spring semester to continue to grow as a team, trust the process, and see the potential within our group. This journey we are on will lead to the outcomes we desire as a program.Â
I want to extend our team's heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported our program throughout the season! Your support and encouragement fuel our determination to strive for success on and off the field. We would only be able to achieve this success with your help, so thank you again for everything that you do for us. As we conclude this 2023 season, we look forward to an exciting future! Please continue to help support this great group as they strive for excellence on the field and in the classroom.Â
Have a wonderful Holiday Season filled with joy and happiness, and I hope you all have a healthy and Happy New Year!
