Update from Head Field Hockey Coach Kelsey Kolojejchick -- September 2023

Hi Bison Family,
We are officially underway with our 2023 season and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our games! Our primary goal is to take this season game-by-game and focus on individual and team growth. Success on the field will follow by focusing on improving ourselves as players and as a unit. We plan to push each other at each practice and each game and be 1% better each day. We are actively working on improving the competitive culture within our team. We are becoming more committed to what this process looks like and what is being asked of each team member to help us grow in this area. By constantly pushing each other at practice and having the commitment to continually strive to raise the bar and the standards of our team on and off the field, we will ultimately lay the foundation for success beyond the scoreboard results.Â
Taking it game-by-game and recognizing that minor improvements will make a significant impact will be a powerful approach for this team. Each game will have its challenges and opportunities, but simply focusing on the task and giving it our all will eventually lead to the end goals we want to achieve as a team. Having a never-give-up mentally and believing in our daily work will put us in a stronger position as we approach the start of our conference schedule.Â
As many of you have seen, we have a hefty away schedule. We would greatly appreciate any financial support you can lend to offset the continually rising costs of such travel and enhance our student-athlete experience. As necessary, we hope you can also support us by coming to our games, being extra loud, and cheering on our team on the sidelines!
We look forward to the weeks ahead and can't wait to make you all proud. Thank you again for your unwavering support; we will achieve greatness together!
