Bucknell (23-21, 16-8 PL) is tied for first place with Army after today's win over Lehigh (14-30, 7-17 PL). Army (27-17, 16-8 PL) defeated Navy (29-16, 15-9 PL) in extra innings on Saturday to remain in first with the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Bison.
The Bison will secure a top-two seed for the tournament with one win in tomorrow's doubleheader against Lehigh. The Bison can take the one-seed with a sweep over Lehigh while Army and Navy split tomorrow's doubleheader in Annapolis.
Jake Schultz turned in his best performance of the season with six shutout innings. The righthander allowed just three hits and a walk with six strikeouts on the afternoon. Bryce Mitchell followed with two no-hit innings in relief on just 23 pitches. Hadley Maxwell then stranded two in the ninth to hold the shutout.
The Bison racked up 11 hits and six walks but stranded 13 runners in the game. Bucknell grabbed an early 2-0 lead and added insurance runs in the late innings.
Bucknell scored its first run on an error in the first inning. Billy Fluharty and Ty Lagoni drew walks, and Garrett Mathias followed with a ground ball that got by the third baseman to allow Fluharty to score.
Mathias drew a walk to lead off the third inning, and a sacrifice bunt by John Calabrese moved the runner to second. Lehigh got the second out of the inning, but Zach Selfon grounded a two-out single back up the middle to make it 2-0.
Schultz got his fifth and sixth strikeouts in the fourth inning and followed with a 1-2-3 fifth. He hit the first batter of the sixth, but a 5-4-3 double play gave Schultz two outs. A fly ball to Fluharty in center field ended the inning.
Selfon added an insurance run for the Bison in the seventh with another two-out hit. After Mathias and Calabrese both singled, Selfon yanked a double down the left field line to score Mathias. Deacon Bowne led off the eighth with a double and moved to third on a balk. Fluharty made it 4-0 with a sacrifice fly.

Lehigh drew two walks off of Maxwell in the ninth with just one out. Maxwell responded with a big strikeout for the second out. Both runners moved up on a balk, but the senior forced a ground out to Andrew Swenson to end the game.
