Bison Men Finish Third at the IC4A Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J.- Bucknell men's track & field, despite not traveling a full roster, completed the IC4A Championships on Sunday with a third place finish. The Bison scored 71 points and narrowly held off New Jersey foe Monmouth for the bronze ring. The two teams above Bucknell, Rutgers and Sacred Heart, fielded full squads. Two more Bison earned All-East (top eight finishes) honors.

Only three Orange & Blue athletes competed on Sunday.

Two Bison hurdlers notched All-East honors in the 400-meter hurdles. Freshman Eamon Golden raced to sixth place, logging 55.56. Luis Colmenares-Bittar finished eighth, edging an Army hurdler, with a time of 55.63.

Jared Hess slotted 12th in the triple jump with a mark of 45-7. After fouling on his first two attempts, he locked in and nailed his third and final opportunity.

Bucknell heads to the historic Penn Relays next weekend. With the Patriot League Outdoor Championships being moved back two weeks, Bucknell will send full squadrons for the first time in years.
