About the Bison

Bucknell returns to the rugged Southern California coast and the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course for the UC San Diego Invitational. This year's event will be played on the North Course after the South Course was utilized last year. the South has hosted the 2008 and 2021 U.S. Opens and is the annual home of the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open.
The 54-hole tournament runs Sunday through Tuesday, and Bucknell's lineup will feature Jack Hartman, James Robbins, Patrick Pritsios, Taylor Kuehn, and Jaxon Brown. Hayden Quinn will tee it up as an individual.
This is Bucknell's second of six spring events. The Bison finished 19th at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Arizona in mid-February. Hartman finished at 2-under par with rounds of 74-69-71, good for a T-30th finish. Robbins opened with a 1-under 71, followed by rounds of 73-75, while Pritsios shot 73-72-75.
The Bison played in five fall tournaments, with a top finish of T-4th at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial.
Sophomores Hartman (73.6) and Pritsios (74.9) were the two low Bison in terms of scoring average in the fall. Hartman had three under-par rounds and a top finish of 3rd at Colgate. Of his 15 fall rounds, 12 were 75 or better.
Pritsios fired a 2-under 70 at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational at Mystic Rock and closed out the fall season with rounds of 72-73-74 at the Bucknell Invitational.
This year's Patriot League Championship will be contested at the West Point Golf Course Apr. 24-26.
Bucknell finished T-4th at last year's Patriot League Championship, and the Bison returned both of their all-league honorees in sophomores Hartman and Pritsios.

About the UC San Diego Invitational

This is Bucknell's fourth straight year playing in UCSD's event at Torrey Pines.
The Bison finished 19th in last year's tournament, posting rounds of 324-309-301. James Key was the low Bison in T-54th place (82-75-73). James Robbins (84-76-76), Patrick Pritsios (81-83-75), and Jack Hartman (79-84-77) are back in the field after playing here last season.
New Mexico State won last year's event with an 885 total (301-301-283). Arkansas State finished two shots back and claimed the medalist in Thomas Schmidt, who finished with a 5-under 211 (71-68-72).
