Vinarub, Raudabaugh Win Medals on Day Two of ECAC Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Jackson Vinarub won gold and Matt Raudabaugh won bronze to highlight the Bucknell men's swimming and diving team on day two of the ECAC Championships at Kinney Natatorium.
Bucknell sits in fifth place with 221 points while Navy (724) has a comfortable lead. Loyola (392), Columbia (266) and Penn sit (250.50) sit ahead of the Bison.
Vinarub took gold earlier in the day in the one-meter dive with a score of 288.30. The senior won the event by nearly 35 points.
The Bison opened the night session with the 200 medley relay, where Avery Kuhn, Raudabaugh, CJ Meier and Colin Smith swam a time of 1:30.82 to take fifth.
Caleb Kubiak took eighth in the A-Final of the 400 IM, finishing in 4:03.12. Drew Davis took third in the B-Final of the 100 butterfly with a time of 49.72. Meier also competed in the B-Final with a time of 50.60. Riley Twiss swam a time of 1:39.40 to take third in the B-Final of the 200 freestyle.
Raudabaugh's bronze came in the 100 breaststroke where he set the third fastest time in school history with a 54.30. His time is just two-tenths of a second off of the school record. William Harpster took sixth in the A-Final with a time of 55.71 and Evan Hepburn was right behind him with a time of 55.85.
Kuhn took third in the B-Final of the 100 backstroke with a time of 50.45. Chase Ferguson also competed in the B-Final with a time of 52.36.
The Bison ended the night with the 800 freestyle relay. Jason Kellerman, Caleb Hagadorn, Kubiak and Alex Crossing took fifth with a time of 6:47.61.
The Bison are back in action for the final day on Sunday at Kinney Natatorium, with preliminaries beginning at 9 a.m. and finals beginning at 4 p.m.
