Caleigh Cummiskey Earns Patriot League Rookie of the Week for Record-Setting Debut

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Freshman attacker Caleigh Cummiskey earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Monday after a record-setting collegiate debut in Bucknell's 20-6 victory over Youngstown State.
Cummiskey led the Bison in scoring with six goals in their first season-opening win since 2020 and first season-opening road win since 2018.
The freshman's six-goals marked the most goals scored by a rookie in her debut at Bucknell. She also sat atop the Patriot League in goals scored this week
Cummiskey's six goals not only set the debut record, but it also tied for third place in the Bison record book for goals in a single game.
The Connecticut native also notched six draw controls and one assist in the contest to earn her first collegiate weekly honor.
Bucknell will have a one-and -one weekend of play as it hosts its home-opener on Friday, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. and then travels to take on Penn State on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m.
