Bucknell earned a 4-1 victory behind a dominant pitching performance by freshman Brady Hoar. Fellow freshman Tyler Seidman pitched two scoreless innings in relief. Seidman allowed two hits and surrendered a walk, but fanned four batters to strand all three runners. Hadley Maxwell came in to earn the save with a three-up, three-down ninth inning.
Bucknell's four runs came on nine hits, including Michael Trommer's second homer of the year. Freshman Garrett Mathias's RBI in the third inning went down as the winning run as the Bison pitching staff closed out the game.
The Bison got the offense going early in the first game, scoring nine runs on 14 hits in the ballgame. The Bison held three different leads, but Radford overcame each one before belting a walk-off home run in the 10th inning to take the game 11-9.
Junior transfer Ty Lagoni was hot at the plate, going 5-for-10 with four RBIs. All for of his RBIs came in the first game, including his first home run in Orange and Blue.
Trommer had two hits in each game with eight total bases. Trommer doubled in the first game and his homer in the ninth inning of the second game gave the Bison some added insurance.

Bucknell used the longball in game one as Ryan Facinelli and Michael Chiaravallo joined Lagoni in hitting two-run homers for six of Bucknell's runs.
John Calabrese went 1-for-2 at the plate in game one, knocking in an RBI in a pinch-hit at-bat. Andrew Swenson drove in a run in game two going 2-for-3 at the plate.

Selfon and Trommer both singled for their second hits of the day, and Lagoni drove in his third RBI with a single. Calabrese came in the game to pinch hit, and the move paid off as the sophomore doubled to bring in another run to make it 8-6.

The Highlanders immediately responded with a three-run frame in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game up once more at 9-9. Mason Self and Eli Hudgins both hit solo home runs to cut the lead to one, and a couple walks and a single set up and bases loaded hit-batter to bring in the run. The Bison got out of the inning leaving the bases loaded before Radford could take the lead.
