Bison Back at Sojka on Saturday to Host Boston U.

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's basketball is back at Sojka on Saturday as the Boston U. Terriers come to Lewisburg for a 2 p.m. tip off. The Bison are coming off of a tough loss to Navy, who has now won 11 straight PL games, but the Orange & Blue have won three of the last four games.

Bucknell is on a five-game win streak over the Terriers and lead the all-time series 16-7, dating back to when the Terriers joined the Patriot League in 2013-14. Earlier this season, the Bison had a gutsy 62-51 road win over the Terriers.

In the game, the Bison had just four turnovers to Boston University's 18, and the Bison outscored the Terriers in every quarter. Desirae Ashton scored 14 points as the Bison bench scored 23 points in the game.

- In addition to Woodruff and returning assistant coaches Edward Joyner Jr. and Shelby Case, the Bison had two new additions to their coaching staff in the off-season. Lauren Holden joined the Bison as the associate head coach and Danielle Patterson joined Bucknell as an assistant coach.
- The Terriers come into the contest 7-17 overall and 3-10 in the Patriot League after falling to Army on Wednesday evening.
- Boston U. found its three conference wins against Lehigh, Lafayette and Colgate and have since gone on a five-game losing streak.
- In their last time out, despite 15 points from junior Inés Monteagudo Pardo as well as 14 points each from senior Anastasiia Semenova and junior Bella McLaughlin, Boston University dropped a 69-62 decision to Army. BU turned what was a 19-point deficit midway through the third quarter into a two-possession contest in the final period but pulled no closer as the Black Knights converted 16 Terrier turnovers into 25 points.

- Navy took control of the game early, out-scoring Bucknell 20-2 in the first quarter. The Midshipmen rode that momentum to a 66-43 win in Alumni Hall on Wednesday night, snapping the Bison's three-game winning streak.
- The Midshipmen moved to 11-1 in Patriot League play, while the Bison fell to 5-8 with the loss. Despite a dominant Navy squad, Mariah Hardy notched a career-high 14 points, leading the Bison in scoring. The freshman shot 5-for-10 from the field and 4-for-5 from the free-throw line. Tuana Coskun was the other Bison that notched double-digit points with 10.
- Bucknell and Navy finished with 36 rebounds apiece. Anna Kunzwiler led the Bison in rebounds with seven and Hardy followed closely behind with six.
- Bucknell's defense did a solid job of limiting a Navy squad that averages over 70 points a game to just 66 in the contest. The Midshipmen shot 43.6 percent on 24of-55 shooting from the field, 4-of-15 from three and 14-of-18 from the line. On the other end, Bucknell shot 30.9 percent on 17-for-55 shooting from the field, 3-for-15 from three and 6-for-9 from the line.
- Bucknell ended the game with 20 total turnovers after notching 10 in just the first quarter. The Midshipmen finished with 13 turnovers in the contest.
