Bison Challenge Recap
Madison Fowler won the shot put on the first day of the Bison Challenge and she added the weight throw to her victory belt. The sophomore repeated back-to-back weeks of winning both events. Fowler's victorious fling of 61-7.75 arrived in her first attempt and the mark was so guaranteed to hold up that the Bison thrower disdained to take her final tosses. The mark ranked second in the Patriot League, fifth in the Mid-Atlantic region, and 81st nationally.Â
The throw also represented a new personal record for Fowler and the distance moved her past graduated teammate Christine Ajao for second place in Bucknell history.Â
Megan Baggetta won the triple jump with a mark of 37-1.75. The winning attempt arrived in her third chance.Â
Raygan Lust has already made her mark as a freshman phenom. The rookie added to her laurels with a win in the 400-meter dash. She ran a swift 57.36. Lust paced an Orange & Blue contingent that dominated the event. Bucknell swept the first six places. Joining Lust were Piper Portacio in second (58.63), Madeline Sipe earned third (59.56), Jenna Wright slotted fourth (1:00.02), Alexa Goll grabbed fifth (1:00.16), and Abigail Michaelson rounded out the group at sixth (1:00.17).Â
Madeline Kerr earned the 800-meter run victory for the second straight week by running 2:18.26.Â
Alison Cooke conquered the 500-meter run with a time of 1:18.20. She won the event by over four seconds.Â
Grace Vives completed the list of Bucknell winners with her victory in the 1000-meter run. The senior recorded a personal best time of 2:56.34 and shaved off over four seconds from her previous standard.Â
Several Bison finished second. Laura Posh set a personal record in the mile run, logging a time of 5:17.76, an improvement of five seconds on her previous best effort. Grace Camerlingo ran 7.78 in the 60-meter dash. Liliana Wakenshaw cleared 5-0.50 in the high jump.Â
Jordan Muraglia achieved third place in the long jump, leaping 17-11.Â
