Bison Women Collect Six Wins at Two Meets; Granger Gains Victory at PSU National Open

LEWISBURG & UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Bucknell women's team split its attention between two meets, the Bison Challenge and the Penn State National Open, and dominated capturing six victories and recording two new all-time top ten times for the record book.

Bison Challenge & Multi Recap
Bucknell gathered numerous victories on the opening night of the Bison Challenge.
Piper Portacio broke into the Bucknell all-time top ten with her event-winning time of 25.42 in the 200-meter run. She nudged out Allison Sharkey's speed of 25.46 from 2017. Portacio, a freshman, already has two top ten marks in Bucknell history. She entered into the 60-meter list during the Bison Opener.
Madison Fowler won the shot put for the second consecutive week as the Bison swept the podium. The sophomore thrower won the event with a toss of 44-4.75. Avery Rebar finished second, tossing 40-9.50 and freshman Olivia Kopitsky placed third, throwing 40-5.50.
Noelani Sadler easily earned the victory in the 60-meter hurdles, logging a season-best time of 8.75.
The "A" Team of Anne Sehon, Hannah Stoss, Anna Kylish, and Madeline Kerr gained the narrow victory in the 4000-meter distance medley relay. The quartet combined for a time of 12.25.08, which was 0.36 seconds better than the second-place foursome. Their time is the 52nd fastest in Division I.
Elizabeth Bryant won the pole vault, clearing 11-5.75.
Sophia Douglas placed second in the 5000-meter run, recording a time of 18:09.56.

Bucknell traveled a select number of sprinters and distancewomen to compete.
Kailey Granger unlocked victory in the 5000-meter run. The impressive junior registered a time of 17:16.75. She sat in third place for most of the race, moved up to first, fell back to third by the 4800 mark before rallying for the gold.
Alexandra Lea finished second in a highly competitive 400-meter dash, logging a time of 54.91. The Bison sophomore greatly surpassed her previous personal record of 55.33 and improved her third-best time in Bucknell history. Lea finished the 2025 Outdoor season on fire and her flame has burned even brighter to start the indoor campaign.
Caryn Rippey placed 20th in the mile run with a time of 4:54.86. Her mark is one of the best times in the Patriot League this year for the event.
Katie Moncavage slotted 22nd in the 800-meter run, racing 2:13.84, which nearly equaled her personal record of 2:13.17.
