Men's Swimming and Diving Wins 13 Events to Defeat Lehigh 198-102

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's swimming and diving team won 13 of 16 events on Senior Day as the Bison took down Lehigh 198-102 on Saturday in the Kinney Natatorium. Freshmen duo Jason Kellerman and Drew Davis combined for five wins as seven different Bison won individual events.
Freshman Jackson Hagler had a great day on the boards to help the Bison sweep both diving events. Hagler set top-10 scores in both the one-meter and three-meter dives.
Bucknell opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay to take 11 points. Davis, Matt Raudabaugh, Finn Russell and Colin Smith finished in 1:31.90, nearly three seconds ahead of Lehigh in second and third.
Lehigh took a 21-15 advantage after the 1,000 free with the top-two spots in the race. Alex Crossing took third in 9:49.25 and William Shoemaker took fifth in 9:59.39.
Bucknell then posted wins in the next four events. Kellerman won his first of three races in the 200 free, swimming a time of 1:40.67. Dante Buonadonna came in fourth in the event in 1:42.08 to help even the score 28-28.
Davis won the 100 back (50.38), followed by Caleb Hagadorn in third (51.55). James Lombardi won the 100 breast (57.41). Raudabaugh (57.46) finished six-hundredths of a second behind Lombardi and Evan Hepburn took fourth (58.45).
Riley Twiss and Shane Wynne went 1-2 in the 200 fly. Twiss swam a time of 1:52.48 and Wynne was close behind with a time of 1:52.59.
Smith (21.09) and Russell (21.24) went 2-3 in the 50 free, and Drew Greene took fifth (21.43). Smith then came back to win the 100 free in the next event in 46.29.
Kellerman's second win of the day came in the 200 back (1:50.07). Davis took second (1:50.99) and Braden Beagle took third (1:52.23).
Lombardi (2:07.68) took second in the 200 breast, followed by Raudabaugh in fourth (2:09.23) and Hepburn in fifth (2:10.49). Crossing then won the 500 free in 4:38.57 and Twiss took third in 4:41.00.
Kellerman then posted a win in the 100 fly (49.96). Russell took third (51.34) and Wynne took fourth (51.38). Davis followed with a win in the 200 IM (1:52.02). Caleb Kubiak took third (1:55.25) and Buonadonna took fourth (1:56.99).
Bucknell swept both diving events. Jackson Vinarub won the one-meter dive with his score of 296.55. Hagler's score of 282.38 was good for second place, and the score is the sixth-highest score in school history. Jack Krug took third in the event with a score of 280.73.
Krug won the three-meter dive with a score of 306.83. Vinarub took second with a score of 298.80 and Hagler's score of 298.50 was good for third. Hagler's 298.50 is also good for the seventh-highest score in school history for the three-meter.
Bucknell ended the day with a win in the 400 freestyle relay. Greene, Kellerman, Smith and Twiss won the event in 3:04.52.
Bucknell is back in action on Saturday, January 31 for the Navy Invitational in Annapolis, Md. Bucknell will then be back in Annapolis for the Patriot League Championships hosted by Navy from February 18-21.
