Men's Swimming and Diving Competes in Navy Invitational on Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's swimming and diving team posted 18 top-five finishes as the Bison competed in the Navy Invitational at Lejeune Hall on Saturday.
There was no team scoring as American, Lafayette, Navy, Lehigh and Shippensburg competed. Navy will host the Patriot League Championships from February 18-21.
The Bison opened the day with a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay. Damian Czartoryjski, Colin Smith, Drew Greene and Finn Russell finished with a time of 1:22.70.
Dante Buonadonna and Riley Twiss both posted a top-five finish in the 200 IM. Buonadonna (1:50.85) took third and Twiss (1:53.48) took fifth.
Jason Kellerman took third in the 500 freestyle in 4:34.96. Buonadonna then took sixth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 52.31. Caleb Kubiak was right behind him with a time of 52.31. Chase Ferguson also competed with a time of 52.98.
James Lombardi posted a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.74. Czartoryjski then took fifth in the 200 butterfly in 1:52.34.
Kellerman (45.65) took fourth in the 100 freestyle and Smith (45.83) took sixth. Alex Crossing (4:03.07), Kubiak (4:04.56) and Braden Beagle (4:06.94) went 2-3-4 in the 400 IM.
The Bison also went 2-3-4 in the 200 medley relay. Shane Wynne, Lombardi, Greene and Smith took second in 1:31.69. Avery Kuhn, Matt Raudabaugh, Drew Davis and Buonadonna took third in 1:33.46. Caleb Hagadorn, William Harpster, Twiss and Finn Lukens took fourth in 1:34.34.
Twiss took fifth in the 100 butterfly in 49.81. Greene (50.29), Czartorysjki (50.55) and Hagadorn (50.61) also competed.
Davis took fourth with a time of 1:42.14 in the 200 freestyle and Wynne was right behind him in fifth with a time of 1:42.86. Kuhn (1:43.55) and Franks (1:43.93) also swam in the event.
Evan Hepburn posted a third-place finish in the 200 breaststroke, swimming a time of 2:05.04. Raudabaugh and Ferguson both took ninth in the 50 freestyle with times of 22.43.
Connor Thurston took sixth in the one-meter dive, posting a 247.75. Jackson Vinarub took fourth in the three-meter with a 281.45. Â
This was Bucknell's final competition before the Patriot League and ECAC Championships. The Bison have several weeks of preparation before traveling back to Annapolis for the PL Championships from February 18-21.
