Swimming and Diving to Host Lehigh for Senior Day Saturday Morning

The Bucknell men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set for its final home meet of the season, hosting Lehigh at 11:30 a.m. The Bison will celebrate 16 seniors before the meet with ceremonies beginning at 11 a.m.
The Bison most recently traveled to Loyola last Friday, then returned home on Saturday to host La Salle. On the women's side, the Bison went 2-0, taking down Loyola 214-85 and La Salle 188-112. The men went 1-1, falling to Loyola 172-128 before beating La Salle 183-114 the following day.
Bucknell's women are 6-2 in dual meets and 5-2 in the Patriot League this season, and they placed third out of seven teams at the Bucknell Invitational back in November. Among the wins are Holy Cross (198-102), Boston University (160.5-139.5), American (200-97), Lafayette (217.5-81.5) and Loyola (214-85). The two losses have come to reigning PL champions Navy (177-112) and Army (157-143).
Bucknell's men are 4-4 this season with a 3-4 mark in the Patriot League, and they placed seventh at the Bucknell Invitational back in November. The Bison have defeated Holy Cross (163-137), American (226-70) and Lafayette (217.5-81.5). The Bison have fallen to reigning PL champions Army (191-109), Navy (185-104), Loyola (172-128) and Boston University (172.5-127.5).
The Bison are heating up as both the men's and women's sides combined for 11 new top-10 times at the Bucknell Invitational in late November and three more at Army (see 2025 top-10 times listed at the bottom).
Bucknell also hosted the Bucknell Fall Invitational back in October, competing against Seton Hall and Binghamton with no team scoring in the event.

Bucknell Women Last Time Out at La Salle
- The Bucknell women's swimming and diving team won 10 events on its way to defeating La Salle 188-112 on Saturday afternoon at the Kinney Natatorium. Kyla Kelly and Clara Renner won two events each as eight different Bison won individual events. Bucknell (6-2, 5-2 PL) had five 1-2-3 finishes and six 1-2 finishes in events.
- The Bison started the day off by going 2-3 in the 200 medley relay. The Bison went 1-2-3 over the next two events, taking the majority of points in the 1,000 free and the 200 free. Tessa Feld won the 1,000 free in 10:45.31, followed by Emma Briganti (10:46.72) in second and Hanna Klingensmith (10:54.21) in third.
- In the 200 free, Sydney Dettmann had the top time at 1:53.51. Virginia Hastings took second in the event in 1:54.92 and Kennedy DeVeaux in third in 1:55.93.
- Natalia Gajecki and Alivia Wainwright went 1-2 in the 100 back. Gajecki won with a time of 58.38 and Wainwright was right behind her with a time of 58.83. Sofia Burns took fourth in the event in 59.37.
- Sydney Jee took second in 1:05.56 in the 100 breast, followed by Hanna Bingley (1:05.60), Kelly (1:05.85) and Kelly Byrne (1:07.21).
- Renner's first win of the day came in the 200 fly by nearly three seconds, swimming a time of 2:05.94. Joslin Halsey (2:08.97) took fourth in the event and Emma Feld (2:15.35) took fifth.
- Hastings, Tori Castro and Jennifer Bolden went 2-3-4 in the 50 free. Hastings swam a time of 24.51 as Castro (24.53) and Bolden (24.65) were close behind.
- Ruby Olliffe was the highest scoring Bison in the one-meter dive with a score of 234.00 to take third. Dea Mielenz took fourth in the event with a score of 233.63. Mielenz later took second in the three-meter dive with a score of 237.15. Natalie Penman scored a 234.38 in the three-meter to take fourth.
- Kelly picked up her first win of the day in the 100 free with a time of 52.57. Bolden took second in 53.00 and Castro followed in third in 54.41. Wainwright won the 200 back in 2:07.00 in the next event. Hastings took fifth in the event to help the Bison win on points.
- Byrne won the 500 free in 5:07.24 as the Bison had the top four times. Dettmann (5:11.81) took second, Briganti (5:23.02) took third and Brooke Worth (5:28.95) took fourth.
- Renner's second win of the day came in the 100 fly, swimming a time of 57.02. Halsey took fourth with a time of 58.31.
- Kelly took her second win of the day in the 200 IM. She swam a time of 2:06.50, followed by Renner in second with a time of 2:07.45. Emma Feld took fifth in the event in 2:14.04.
- The Bison ended the day with a win in the 400 free relay. Castro, Ketron, Bolden and Hastings won the with a time of 3:33.30. DeVeaux, Halsey, Gajecki and Keira Giles took third with a time of 3:37.40.
- The reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Meet Clara Renner has been dominant to start the year, winning 15 individual events this season. She has posted five wins in the 200 fly, three wins in the 500 free and the 100 fly, two wins in the 1,000 free. She also has wins in the 200 free and the 400 IM. Renner is inching towards her times on the top-10s list, and she already owns eight different times in individual events. Her time of 1:58.21 in the 200 fly last season is the all-time record in the event.
- Kelly Byrne has five wins this season. Most recently, she won the 500 free (5:07.24) against La Salle. She won the 400 IM at Army on Saturday (4:23.01). She took the 500 free (5:12.68) against Holy Cross, the 200 breast (2:22.60) against Boston U., and the 200 back (2:02.16) at the BU Fall Invite. Byrne owns top-10 times in three events.
- Kyla Kelly has five wins. She won two events against La Salle, winning the 100 free (52.75) and the 200 IM (2:06.50). She won the 100 breast (1:06.35) against Holy Cross, and had a big day against Boston U. with wins in the 200 free (1:53.23) and 200 IM (2:05.64).
- Jennifer Bolden has five wins wins, picking up two wins against Loyola this past weekend. At Loyola, she won the 200 free (1:51.28) and the 100 free (51.88). Bolden took the 200 free (1:49.31) and 100 Free (51.33) against Army. Her time in the 200 free is the sixth-fastest time on the top-10 lists.Â
- Sydney Jee has three wins this season, winning the 200 breast (2:20.44) against Loyola. She also took the 200 breast (2:24.25) at Holy Cross and the 100 breast (1:05.48) at Boston U.
- Freshman Tori Castro has had a great debut season, setting two top-10 times this season. She won the first two events of her career against Loyola, winning the 50 free (23.61) and 100 fly (55.43). Her time of 23.27 in the 50 free on the first leg of the 200 free relay in the Bucknell Invitational is the fourth-fastest time on the list. Her time of 55.43 in the 100 fly is tied for sixth on the top-10 list, breaking her own mark which she set against Army.
- Freshmen Tessa Feld, Natalia Gajecki, Alivia Wainwright and Kennedy DeVeaux have all collected wins this season. Gajecki leads the pack with three wins, most recently taking the 100 back (56.71) against Loyola and the 100 back (58.38) against La Salle. Feld has two wins, taking the 1,000 free (10:31.34) at Holy Cross and the 200 fly (2:05.36) at the BU Fall Invite. Wainwright also has two wins, most recently winning the 200 back (2:07.00 against La Salle.
- Hanna Bingley picked up her first win of the year against Loyola, swimming a time of 1:04.86 against Loyola.
- Virginia Hastings has two wins this season, most recently winning the 200 IM (2:05.20) against Loyola. Sydney Dettmann has two wins, coming off of a win in the 200 free (1:53.51) against La Salle. Tessa Feld picked up her first win against La Salle, taking the 1,000 free in 10:45.31.
- Finn Franks led the Bucknell men's swimming and diving team with two wins as the Bison defeated La Salle 183-114 at the Kinney Natatorium on Saturday afternoon. The Bison gathered nine event wins and had six 1-2 finishes and 31 top-three finishes among the events.
- The Bison got off to a great start in the 200 medley relay with the top-two spots. Drew Davis, Matt Raudabaugh, Finn Russell and Drew Greene won the event with a time of 1:31.69. Caleb Hagadorn, James Lombardi, Jason Kellerman and Colin Smith followed with a second-place finish in 1:33.27.
- William Shoemaker won the 1,000 free, and Alex Crossing took second. Shoemaker won by more than 12 seconds with a time of 9:56.71. Crossing swam a time of 10:08.88 in the event.
- Franks won his first event in the 200 free in 1:42.23. Dante Buonadonna (1:42.43) followed in second and Damian Czartoryjski (1:42.49) took third.
- Davis won the 100 back with a time of 50.49. Kellerman took fifth in the event, posting a time of 51.84. The Bison went 1-2-3 in the 100 breast. Lombardi was the winner with a time of 57.27. Raudabaugh (57.49) was close behind in second and Evan Hepburn (59.05) claimed third.
- La Salle won the 200 fly, but the Bison went 2-3-4-5 in the event. Riley Twiss (1:55.44) finished in second, followed by Shane Wynne (1:56.45), Braden Beagle (1:59.36) and Nikita Bityutski (2:02.11).
- Russell took second in the 50 free in 20.96. Smith took third with a time of 21.06 and Greene placed third in 21.43.
- Jack Krug won the one-meter dive with a score of 296.40. Krug was just three points of his personal best which sits third on Bucknell's top-10 lists. Krug later took fourth in the three-meter with a score of 263.55. Jackson Vinarub took fourth in the one-meter (256.65) and took fifth in the three-meter (262.58).
- Smith had another top-three finish with a second-place finish in the 100 free in 46.03. Greene followed in third with a time of 46.55. In the 200 back, Kellerman posted a second-place finish with a time of 1:52.78. Hagadorn took fourth and Beagle took fifth in the event.
- Raudabaugh won the 200 breast as the Bison went 1-2-3. He won the event in 2:09.25, followed by Hepburn (2:11.04) in second and Buonadonna (2:11.33) in third.
- The Bison took the top-four spots in the 500 free. Franks won his second event of the day, swimming a time of 4:40.75, followed by Crossing (4:41.85), Twiss (4:47.82), and Shoemaker (4:51.34).
- Davis posted another top-two finish in the 100 fly. He took second with a time of 50.54. Russell followed with a third-place finish in 51.17 and Wynne took fourth in 52.52.
- Kellerman won the 200 IM in 1:53.32. Caleb Kubiak took third (1:55.81), Buonadonna took fourth (1:58.07) and Avery Kuhn took fifth (1:58.39).
- Freshmen Drew Davis leads the Bison with six event wins thus far. He posted two wins against both Holy Cross and Boston U. in Bucknell's opening weekend. He most recently won the 200 IM (1:50.95) against Loyola and the 100 back (50.49) against La Salle. At Holy Cross, he won the 100 back (50.75) and the 100 fly (50.72). At Boston U., he won the 100 back (49.88) and 200 IM (1:53.44).
- Davis earned the Patriot League Rookie of the Week honor after the Bucknell Invitational, setting two top-10 times. He set the sixth-fastest time in the 100 back at the Bucknell Invitational as he led off of Bucknell's 400 Medley Relay team, swimming the 100 back in 49.33. Davis owns the 10th-fastest time in the 200 back, swimming a time of 1:48.95 at Army. He broke his previous time of 1:49.04 set at the Bucknell Invitational.
- Freshmen Jason Kellerman is off to a great start, and matched Davis at five wins this season after picking up wins against Loyola and La Salle. At Loyola, Kellerman swam the fourth-fastest time in the 200 fly (1:47.26), beating his time of 1:48.82 which he set at the Bucknell Invitational. Kellerman is this week's PL Rookie of the Week after his two wins, two second-place finishes and two more top-five finishes this past weekend.
- Against Army, Kellerman swam a time of 1:49.07. He took the 200 back (1:52.82) against Holy Cross and the 100 fly (50.84) against Boston U. At the Bucknell Invitational, Kellerman set the eighth-fastest time in the 200 fly with 1:48.82.
- Alex Crossing has two wins, taking the 200 fly (1:54.03) and the 500 free (4:48.33) against Holy Cross.
- Finn Russell has won the 50 free twice, taking the event against Holy Cross (21.64) and Boston U. (20.97).
- William Shoemaker has three wins in the 1,000 free, most recently winning the event against Loyola (9:27.78) and La Salle (9:56.71) this past weekend. Shoemaker has also won the 500 free (4:33.57).
- Finn Franks earned his first two wins of the season, both coming against La Salle. He won the 200 free in 1:42.23 and won the 500 free in 4:40.75.
- Dante Buonadonna won the 200 IM (1:55.41) against Holy Cross and is coming off of a win in the 200 free (1:40.67) against Loyola.
- James Lombardi is coming off of a win in the 100 breast (57.27) against La Salle. Lombardi won the 100 breast (57.15) and Shane Wynne won the 200 fly (1:52.13) against Boston U.
- Riley Twiss won the 200 fly (1:50.97) and Jackson Vinarub won the one-meter dive (291.65) at the BU Fall Invite.
- Drew Greene picked up his first win of the year at Army, swimming the 100 free in 45.84. ÂÂÂÂ
- Jack Krug picked up his first win of the season with a 290.55 in the one-meter dive against Loyola. Krug then put up a score of 296.40 the following day against La Salle to win the one-meter dive again.
- Jackson Vinarub won the one-meter dive at the BU Fall Invite. He most recently won the three-meter dive (321.15) at Loyola.
- Matt Raudabaugh won his first event of the season, taking the 200 breast (2:09.25) against La Salle.
