
Women's Cross Country Finishes First at YSU Invitational

CANFIELD, OHIO- Bucknell women's cross country won its second meet of the season on Saturday morning at the YSU Invitational. The Bison placed six runners in the top nine en route to scoring 26 points. The race course was 5k in length.Â
Results
Bucknell's 26 points paced the six-team competition. Host Youngstown State placed second with 32 points. Malone slotted third with 84 points.Â
Shaelan McNally led the Bucknell effort for the third consecutive meet. Her skein of first place finishes was broken but the sophomore sensation still earned second with a time of 17:43.94.Â
Caryn Rippey followed in McNally's vapor trail for the third straight race, placing third with a time of 18:10.97. The senior runner has demonstrated excellent form and stamina, as she slipped to sixth through 3,000 kilometers before recovering.Â
Katie Moncavage slotted sixth to register as the third Bison scorer. The sophomore distancewoman ran 18:18.28.Â
Kailey Granger finished seventh behind her Bucknell teammate with a time of 18:50.78.Â
Grace Vives rounded out the Bison scorers, placing eighth, and running 18:58.25.Â
Bradley Weldon was the final runner in the top 10 for Bucknell. The junior beat the 19-minute mark, racing 18:59.20.Â
The Bison will rest for two weekends before competing at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Oct. 17.Â
