The Inside "Herd" on the Bison
- Bucknell competed at the Princeton Invite on Sept. 6-7 and faced some of its toughest foes on the 2025 schedule. The Bison dropped a 24-10 decision to #1 UCLA, lost a 20-16 overtime heartbreaker to #16 Harvard when the Crimson tied the tying goal with three seconds in regulation, and fell 19-9 to #9 Princeton. The Bison's 1-6 record is misleading, as the Orange & Blue has faced six ranked teams, including ranked DIII MIT, in seven games.Â
- The Bison were picked fourth in the MAWPC Preseason Poll.Â
- Aleksa Stefanovic and Tyler Hedblad lead the team with 18 goals and 37 points.
- Nine different Bison tallied goals at the Princeton Invite.Â
- Salem sits at 8-5 against a largely Division III schedule but the Tigers did upset MIT and Navy.Â
- Air Force has flown out to a strong start at 11-3 but has gone 0-2 against ranked foes: #18 Brown and #3 Cal. The Falcons have mostly in their nest, playing 11 home games.Â
- Fordham has gone 5-1 against an ambitious schedule with its only loss coming versus #1 UCLA. The Rams defeated #9 Pacific and #18 Harvard.Â
- Wagner has started 4-4 on the year with all four losses coming against ranked foes. The Seahawks defeated LIU twice, Iona, and MIT.Â
The Bison continue MAWPCÂ play next weekend at George Washington (Sept. 27) and Navy (Sept. 28).Â
