LEWISBURG, Pa.- Shaelan McNally's sophomore season has been a surging success and the league office recognized her prodigious efforts with her second Patriot League Women's Runner of the Week award of 2025. McNally previously earned the honor on Sept. 2.Â
"Shaelan continues to have a great season," said head coach Kevin Donner. "She is now a sophomore and is figuring out how to be a good collegiate runner. Sometimes, the freshman year can be a tough transition."Â
McNally demolished the competition at the Jasper Invitational, speeding to a career-best 6k time of 20:08.8, winning first place by 18 seconds. She topped her previously best time of 21:06.3 - set at the Lehigh Invitational on August 31 - by 58 seconds.Â
Her first-place finish led Bucknell to claiming second place by a full 86 points over Marist. The Bison were only seven points away from meet winner Quinnipiac.Â
The sophomore has now won three meets in her career: the 2024 Father Bede Invitational, the 2025 Lehigh Invitational, and the 2025 Jasper Invitational.Â
McNally became the first Bison since Colleen Buckley in 2018 to win the weekly honor twice in a season. Â
Bucknell resumes action after a bye week on Sept. 27 at the Youngstown State Invitational.Â
