Bucknell Football Rounds Out 2025 Roster

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell football head coach Dave Cecchini announced the addition of 27 players to round out the 2025 Bucknell roster. The 27 new Bison include 22 freshmen from the regular signing period and five additional transfers, which brings the incoming class of freshmen and transfers to 40 after 10 early signees and three transfers joined the bunch earlier in the year.
The regular signing period group of freshmen is composed of five offensive lineman, four defensive lineman, three linebackers, two wide receivers, two quarterbacks, one running back, one cornerback, one safety, one kicker and one long snapper/offensive lineman. The 22 incoming freshmen hail from Massachusetts (3), Pennsylvania (3), New Jersey (3), Illinois (2), Florida (2), Connecticut (1), Delaware (1), Ohio (1), Colorado (1), Michigan (1), Maryland (1), New York (1), Ontario (1) and one comes to Bucknell from Germany.
Of the five transfers, there are two cornerbacks, one running back, one offensive lineman and one linebacker. The student-athletes originally hail from Pennsylvania (2), Ohio (1), Missouri (1) and Wisconsin (1).

Deerfield Academy: Lettered four years in football and baseball (two at Duxbury High and two at Deerfield Academy)...in football, was a two-time all-northeast prep offensive lineman and a 4.5 star rubio long snapper…served as a team captain…helped Duxbury High School to a 2022 Massachusetts state championship…led Deerfield Academy to the 2023 NEPSAC Bowl championship.

Delbarton School: Lettered in football…earned second team all-state, second team all-conference and second team all-county…helped the Green Wave to back-to-back United White Division titles, helped the team to multiple championship finals and went 10-2 his junior year…had 45 tackles, 8 sacks, 11 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.

St. Sebastian's School: Lettered two years in football and Ultimate Frisbee and one year in basketball…in football, earned pre-season honors twice and was the St. Sebastian's School special teams player of the year…helped his team to a 2022 league championship…scored 93 career points in 25 games…had a high of 20 touchbacks in a single season...had a career long field goal of 35 yards and a career long kickoff of 71 yards…kicked 89 percent throughout his two lettered seasons…in ultimate frisbee, was a two-time captain.

Salesianum: Lettered in football…earned all-district and all-state…was the Mini Max award winner…helped the team to a 2023 state championship (the first for the Sals in 10 years) and to be 2024 runners-up…posted a 23-3 record throughout his last two seasons…was the only two-way starter on the team in 2024.

Peters Township High School: Lettered three years in football and track…in football, was a team captain…second team all-state defensive lineman…four-time all-conference…had 120+ tackles, 30+ tackles for loss, 15+ sacks and three forced fumbles with the Indians…in track, was a WPIAL team champion, team runner-up and individual qualifier in shot-put and posted a 15-1 record with the Indians.
