Football Announces Incoming Transfers

Lewisburg, Pa. - With 2025 spring football practices beginning, Bucknell's head football coach Dave Cecchini announced three transfer athletes that will be joining the Bison this spring.Â
The transfer group includes a wide receiver from Conference USA, a quarterback from the American Athletic Conference and a defensive back from the Atlantic Coast Conference.Â
Cecchini and his staff will announce the remainder of the incoming 2025 recruiting class in the coming weeks.

CESAR CARRASCOÂ
Wide Receiver, 5'11", 170 lbs., Pittsgrove, N.J., Schalick
Liberty University: Participated in one game with the flames.
Schalick High School: Lettered four years in track and basketball and two years in football…in football, was second team offense and defense…was a team captain.
Personal: Cesar Carrasco … born April 19, 2002 in Pittsgrove, N.J., … son of Tara and Jose Carrasco.
Coach Cecchini's Scouting Report: "Cesar is as quick as he is fast. He can take a short pass completion and turn it into an explosive gain in a heartbeat."

CHRISTOPHER DIETRICHÂ
Quarterback, 6'4", 210 lbs., Sparta, N.J., Pope John XXIII
Temple University: Redshirted his freshman season…earned offensive scout team player of the week (UTSA).
Pope John XXIII: Lettered three years in football and one year in lacrosse and basketball… in football, was the team captain…earned first team SFC United White quarterback, first team all-area quarterback and first team all-county quarterback…helped the team earn its first winning record (7-4) since 2017…had 3,685 total passing yards and 35 total touchdowns…was second all-time in passing in Pope John XXIII history.
Personal: Christopher William Dietrich … September 2, 2006 in Morristown, N.J., … son of Amy and Wayne Dietrich… has one sibling: Elliot…his father was a tight end at Bloomsburg University.
Coach Cecchini's Scouting Report: "Chris is a talented QB with a strong arm. I am excited about his maturity and leadership that he has exhibited so far."

Defensive Back, 6'2", 195 lbs., Cornelius NC, Hough High School/Loomis Chaffee
University of Louisville: Did not see action.
Hough High School/Loomis Chaffee: Lettered in football…earned first team all-conference honors…helped his team to become two-time NEPSAC Champions.
Personal: Jaiden Matthew Spearman… born June 5, 2005 in Munster, Ind., … son of Jacquie and Derek Spearman… has three siblings: Derek, Ike and Amaria…his brother Ike played football for Eastern Michigan and professional football for the Birmingham Iron and his brother Derek played football for the University of Connecticut and Gannon.
Coach Cecchini's Scouting Report: "Jaiden has the athleticism and physicality that you look for at the safety position. He should also be a big factor on several special teams as well."
