LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell head men's basketball coach John Griffin III has announced the addition of three newcomers – one freshman and two inbound transfers – to the 2025-26 roster. Joining the squad will be 6'11" freshman forward/center Amon Dörries from Potsdam, Germany; 6'10" junior center Grgur Brcic, a Zagreb, Croatia native who spent the last two seasons at Toledo; and 6'5" sophomore wing Aleksander Pachucki, a Fordham transfer who hails from Scarborough, Ontario.
Dörries, Brcic, and Pachucki round out a talented incoming class that also includes two backcourt additions in early signees Pat Curtin and Jacob Meachem.
"We're excited to bring this group of five newcomers into the Bucknell Basketball family," said Griffin. "They offer a unique mix of skill, strength, and athleticism, and their international backgrounds bring valuable perspective and experience to our locker room. Most importantly, they've each shown a competitive edge and a level of character that fits the culture we're building. We believe they'll represent Bucknell and the Lewisburg community with pride."
Here is more information on each of Bucknell's three spring signees.
Grgur Brcic
6'10" Center | Zagreb, Croatia | Williston Northampton School (Mass.) | Toledo
"Grgur gives us a physical interior presence that we need heading into next season. He's played in the MAC, a highly competitive league, for two years, and that experience shows. He scores around the basket and plays with a level of toughness and maturity that I know will elevate our team. His energy will be contagious both on the floor and in the Bucknell community."
Amon Dörries
6'11" Forward/Center | Potsdam, Germany | Schul- und Leistungssport Zentrum | ALBA Berlin
"Amon brings a rare combination of international experience and versatility to our roster. He's competed at a high level in Germany with the youth national team, in the NBBL, ProB, and even earned Euroleague call-ups. His ability to create off the dribble at his size is unique, and it reminds us of some of the dynamic bigs who have worn a Bucknell uniform before him. Amon's energy, toughness, and style of play will make him an immediate fan favorite. We're proud to welcome another standout from Germany to Bucknell."
Aleksander Pachucki
6'5" Guard | Scarborough, Ontario | Hoosac School (N.Y.) | Fordham
"Aleksander is a terrific addition to our program. He has the reputation of being a true three-level scorer and has spent the last year developing his body and mindset at a high level at Fordham. He's a tough competitor with deep range, a great student, and he comes from a tremendous family. Aleks fits exactly who we are and who we strive to be at Bucknell."
