
Men's Track & Field to Compete in the Patriot League Outdoor Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison men's track & field team will look to bring home the title when the squadron travels to Holy Cross for the 2025 Patriot League Outdoor Championships. The Orange & Blue will attempt to break Navy's ten-meet winning streak in the Championships. Bucknell finished fourth last year and the Bison return plenty of talent from last year's team.Â

2024 Patriot League Outdoor Championships
- Bucknell placed fourth with 63.5 points.Â
- Amani Brown, Preston Lubeski, Brayden Young, and Brandon Foust clinched bronze in the 4x100-meter relay. Their time of 41.88 beat the fourth-place finisher by 0.06 seconds.
- Dariel Guzman completed his Bucknell career with a fourth-place finish in the discus throw. The senior's toss of 155-5 arrived in his final attempt.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of Brown, Kemp, Colby Belczyk, and Foust finished fourth. Their time of 3:17.56 was only 0.02 seconds away from bronze.
- Wade Shomper continued his successful junior season in the shot put with a sixth place finish in the Penn Relays's College Shot Put division. His first throw of 16.42m (53-10.50) was his longest of the day. His next throw went 16.01m (52-6.50). Shomper fouled on his third attempt but his first mark qualified him for the finals. His next two tosses were in the 53-foot mark. The final throw went foul.Â
- The Bison won two events at the Maroon & Gold Invite. Mason Siebenhaar smoked the competition in the 5000-meter run. His time of 14:52.69 easily won the event by over 13 seconds, as he was the only runner to break 15 minutes. Bucknell took home the top four positions. Sophomore Michael Chernova won the pole vault with a clearance of 14-5.25.
- Bucknell earned two victories at the Red Flash Open. Lucas Ward headlined the day by winning the 1500-meter run. The sophomore raced 4:00.82, achieving victory by over three seconds. Grant Kern picked up the second victory in the 3000-meter steeplechase. The junior was the only runner to break the 10-minute mark, recording 9:49.1.Â
The Bison will compete at the ECAC-IC4A Championships on May 16-18.Â
