Noelani Sadler Selected Bison of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Noelani Sadler recorded a banner day at the Colonial Relays, as part of Bucknell women's track & field taking home first place in the competition for the second straight year. The Bucknell athletics department awarded the freshman phenom with Bison of the Week.Â
Sadler set the school record in the 100-meter hurdles, racing 14.13 to upend Catherine Trentacoste's previous standard-bearer time of 14.14 established in 2007. Her time slotted the freshman fifth across all competitors and third among collegiate runners. The rookie nearly tied the mark at last weekend's Lafayette Invitational when she ran 14.15.Â
She assisted Bucknell in the 4x100-meter relay, serving as the quartet's anchor, for a fifth-place finish delivered by their 47.70 time. Sadler participated in the 400-meter hurdles for the first time and accomplished a solid 1:03.85 for 11th place.Â
Bucknell track & field hosts the annual Bison Outdoor Classic this weekend. The event has become one of the largest competitions on the East Coast and more than 160 colleges and clubs will descend upon Lewisburg from April 12-14.Â
