LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell freshman Jack Hartman of the men's golf team has been selected as the Bison of the Week after an outstanding performance at this weekend's Patriot League Championship. Hartman finished even-par over 54 holes and earned First Team All-Patriot League honors with a T-4th finish, and after the tournament he was voted Patriot League Rookie of the Year.
Despite windy conditions over the final two rounds, Hartman shot 69-71-70 for a 210 total at the Bucknell Golf Club. He finished just two shots behind co-leaders Nolan Schuermann of Holy Cross and Quint Dingledine of Lafayette.
Hartman's birdie on the 18th hole on Sunday helped the Bison catch Colgate and move into a share of fourth place in the team standings.
The strong finish capped an outstanding debut season for Hartman, who led the team with a 73.4 scoring average. He had five under-par rounds this spring alone and turned in four top-10 finishes, including a T-2nd at the Red Flash Invitational in October.
