
Women's Track & Field Journeys to Three Competitions

LEWISBURG, Pa.-Â The Bucknell Bison women's track & field team will spend the final weekend before the Patriot League Outdoor Championships at three different and diverse competitions. Select throwers will attend the Penn Relays, several distance runners will travel Interstate 80 to Bloomsburg, and the rest of the squadron will visit soon-to-be Division III Saint Francis.Â

Last Time Out (Bucknell Team Challenge)
- Bucknell celebrated Senior Day by easily winning the Team Challenge. The Bison earned 306.5 points and won nine events.
- Alexandra Lea collected two wins in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. She raced 24.42 in the 200-meter dash, winning the event by over half a second. Her 55.86 time in the 400-meter dash won the event by over two seconds.Â
- Christine Ajao celebrated Senior Day with a victory in the shot put, throwing 14.21m (46-7.50). Ajao also led Bucknell's efforts in the hammer throw with her fourth place finish, tossing 47.88m (157-1).Â
- Kerry O'Day earned victory in the 3000-meter steeplechase, running 11:16.33.
- Caryn Rippey finished first in the 1500-meter run. The junior ran 4:34.57.Â
- Senior Anna Posh grabbed first in the 800-meter run, logging 2:13.64.
- Madison Fowler earned first in the discus throw, tossing the instrument 42.90m (140-9).Â
- Noelani Sadler won gold in the 100-meter hurdles. The school record holder in the event raced 14.19.Â
- Evelyn Bliss did what the All-American usually does in the javelin throw and won the event. The sophomore sensation threw 158-11.Â
- The 4x100-meter relay quartet of Ava Lomberto, Cami Burkett, Sadler, and Lea placed second, running 47.17. The time ranked eighth in Bucknell history.Â
- Elizabeth Bryant did not win the pole vault as she finished second but her clearance of 12-6.25 slotted the junior at second in Bucknell history.Â
