Bison Women Win Five Events at the Keystone Challenge

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.- Bucknell women's track & field dusted the rust off at Shippensburg's Keystone Challenge and achieved multiple successful results headlined by five event victories despite sidelining many top student-athletes.

"It was a solid rust buster for both genders. The layoff and spring break had us a bit rusty which we expected but many of our athletes still competed hard and we had our share of high places. We should see considerable improvement over the next couple weeks."

Anna Posh brought home victory in the 400-meter dash by winning the event by nearly two seconds. The senior star logged 56.90 - only 0.33 seconds away from entering the Bucknell top ten.Â
Katie Moncavage began her outdoor collegiate career in style winning the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:44.97.
Bucknell's distance success continued with Bradley Weldon. The sophomore ran 18:03.45 to win the 5000-meter run.Â
Elizabeth Bryant tied her career-high in the pole vault clearing 12-1.50. The mark won the junior gold.Â
Prizila Negrete recorded the final Bison win throwing 12.27m (40-3.25) in the shot put.Â
Grace Vives won silver in the 800-meter run. The junior raced 2:21.10. Kerry O'Day also grabbed second in her event. The freshman turned in a time of 11:06.34 in the 3000-meter steeplechase.Â
The Posh sisters (Anna and Laura Posh) combined with Moncavage and Regan McGrath to finish second in the 4x400-meter relay. The quarter's time of 4:04.93 was only 0.38 seconds away from first.Â
Freshman thrower Madison Fowler posted a good outdoor debut throwing the hammer 51.51m (169-0) for second place and tossing 40-65m (133-4) in the discus for third. Her hammer mark ranks ninth in Bucknell history.Â
Amanda Agambire finished third (26.07) in the 200-meter dash.
Freshman Ella Vogel commenced her outdoor career finishing fourth (12.74) in the 100-meter dash. Sophomore Megan Baggetta joined her in the same slot with her 37-6.50 performance in the triple jump.Â
Madelyn Hudak won the javelin throw tossing the weapon 39.28m (128-10). It set a new personal record for the sophomore breaking her old mark by over nine feet.Â
Madeline Lehker cleared 5-1 to finish sixth in the high jump.Â
Madison Libby earned ninth (17-3.25) in the long jump.Â
