Water Polo Travels to Wolverine Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell women's water polo (11-8, 2-4 CWPA) remains on the road for another weekend tournament. The Bison head to Michigan to face four opponents, including three conference foes at the Wolverine Invitational. The Orange & Blue will face Mercyhurst, #16 Michigan, Saint Francis, and Salem. The first three foes are CWPA opponents. All the games will have live stats on The Fosh and be streamed on BIG10 Plus.

The Inside "Herd" on the Bison

Bucknell completed the 2025 spring break trip with three losses to ranked in #16 Michigan, #7 Long Beach State, and #2 USC. The Bison only fell 16-13 to Michigan and scored seven goals against USC.
The Orange & Blue sandwiched a tense 10-9 victory over Cal State Fullerton inbetween the three defeats.
Olivia Hopper leads Bucknell with 58 goals. She tallied seven goals against Michigan.
Every Bison field player has found the net in the 2025 season showcasing Head Coach John McBride's ability at restocking Bucknell's cupboard after the past few seasons.

Opposition Overview

Michigan is 9-7 overall and 3-2 in CWPA play. The Wolverines have played a challenging schedule with 13 ranked teams. Michigan has been strong against the tough competition going 6-7 against ranked foes. Both Bucknell and Michigan lost 18-7 to #2 USC.
Mercyhurst is 4-12 overall and 0-2 in its first season of CWPA play. The Bison previously defeated the Lakers 13-4 this season at the Bucknell Invitational.
Salem is 5-13 this season. The Tigers are the only new 2025 foe this weekend for Bucknell.
Saint Francis is 11-9 on the year and 1-4 against CWPA foes. The Orange & Blue edged SFU 10-9 on a last second Gwen Kallmeyer goal earlier this season at the Bucknell Invitational.
