Lakeland, Fla. — The Bucknell women's tennis team dropped its match with Florida Southern 7-0 and fell to 4-6 overall on the season.
The loss was highlighted by the Bison's lone win that came in doubles play where Whitney King and Abigail Platt defeated Kennedi Brown and Kelly Klaren 6-3 to start off the competition. The other two doubles matches went Florida Southern's way, earning them the doubles point.
Next came the singles play where the Moccasins took all six matches to secure their win over the Bison. Anna Lajos put up a fight in singles play as she forced three sets, but was ultimately unable to take the third, giving the Moccasins a shutout win.
Bucknell women's tennis will take to the courts once again on Wednesday, March 12 at 2 p.m. when they face Southeastern in its final Florida match.
