Bucknell at a Glance
- The Bison are looking to build on their second win of the season and improve to a winning record with its away contest. The Bison head to Emmitsburg, Md. to take on Mount St. Mary's on Saturday at 4 p.m.
- The top three point grabbers for Bucknell are Taylor McClain with 11 (2 goals and nine assists), Allie Boyce (nine goals) and Alex Nesbitt (five goals and four assists. Boyce leads the scoring for the Bison with nine goals and Kat Reynolds follows closely with seven.Â
- After going 1-1 to open its season on home turf, Bucknell came out swinging against Kent State and didn't slow down for a second, defeating the Golden Flashes 17-6 on Tuesday.
- The Bison had a hat trick of hat tricks with Allie Boyce, Caroline Sheridan and Kat Reynolds each contributing. Sheridan had a career-high five goals in the contest and Reynolds matched her career-high three goals. Eight different Bucknell athletes recorded goals in the game.
- Boyce's hat trick added to her 2025 tally giving her nine goals on the season and bringing her just two goals away from moving into the top five in career goals all-time at Bucknell.Â
- Taylor McClain continued to be an efficient facilitator, using her high lacrosse IQÂ to find the open cutters on the field in opportune times and added three more assists to her tally of nine on the season and bringing her just two assists away from moving into the top three Bison in career assists all-time.Â
- Bucknell greatly improved on the draw from their previous three games winning 14-of-27. Madie Thistlewaite took charge on the draw circle recording a career-high seven draw controls.Â
- Bucknell took good care of the ball throughout the afternoon with an 11-for-12 clearing efficiency. They were also able to control the ball, limiting Kent State's ability to cause turnovers with the Golden Flashes only having five caused turnovers in the game. On the flip side, the Bison were able to notch 13 caused turnovers of their own. Jess Leon led the crew in that department, adding three more to her stat sheet in the game.Â
- Bucknell held control in many of the categories against Kent State. The Bison out-shot the Golden Flashes 41-8 and had a 19-9 edge in ground balls with 14 different Bucknell athletes contributing to that stat. Â
- Colleen Kazanjian has started each game in goal thus far for the Bison and has totaled 22 saves over the season. Bella Crowley and Toni Plunkett each got in the contest with Kent State on Tuesday and Plunkett notched her career-first save.Â
Mount St. Mary's at a Glance
- The Mount are 3-1 overall on the season. Mount St. Mary's won its first two contests over Towson (11-10) and Lafayette (14-6), before dropping a game to Delaware (12-9). The Mount got back in the win column in its most recent game as it defeated Robert Morris University 13-8 on Wednesday.Â
- The top four point grabbers for the Mount are Anna Salerno with 12 (10 goals and two assists), Madison Harmening with 10 (nine goals and one assist) and Anna McQuay (nine goals) and Mackenzi Furlong (eight goals and one assist) each have nine points.
- Camille Thomas is the starting goalkeeper for the Mount and has played every minute in net so far this season. She has a goals against average of 9.0 and a save percentage of .478.Â
- The Mount are very strong on the clear, having a clear percentage of .900, going 72-for-80.
- In Mount St. Mary's last contest, Harmening notched four goals and one assist leading the team in points.
- The Mount has two solid draw takers in Hailey Chester (15 draw controls on the season) and Logan Cook (13 draw controls on the season).
The Bucknell-Mount St. Mary's Series
- Bucknell is 7-1 all-time against Mount St. Mary's in a series that dates back to 2003.
- The Bison have won seven of the eight match-ups overall, but the Mount took the most recent game 14-8 last season on Sunday, March 3.
- On the road against the Mount, the Bison are undefeated 4-0.
- Last season, Mount St. Mary's came to Lewisburg and spoiled a strong performance from Bison goalie Colleen Kazanjian, who tallied a career-high 13 saves. Â Mackenzi Furlong recorded four goals and four assists to lead visiting Mount St. Mary's to a 14-8 win over Bucknell.Â
- Bucknell was whistled for 17 fouls and received seven cards in the last contest, while Mount St. Mary's was shown only one card and five total fouls. The Mount scored three goals on free-position shots and three others with a player advantage. Bucknell will need to limit its fouls and cards in the upcoming match-up to reduce the number of man-up and free position opportunities for the Mount.
- Buckell assistant coach Liza Oakley played collegiate lacrosse at Mount St. Mary's as a standout defender for the program where she graduated from in 2018.
- Former Bucknell captain Jamie Fedorjaka, who played two seasons on attack and one on defense for the Bison, transferred to Mount St. Mary's for her graduate year and is now a member of the Mount's women's lacrosse team.Â
