LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Bucknell Bison men's track & field team recorded several nice individual results at the final day of the Darius Dixon Memorial. The Bison continued to build momentum as the team prepares for the upcoming Patriot League Championships.Â

Donner's Debriefing
"Overall, I felt very good about this meet. The competition was a perfect fit for us and the facility was great. We have to get used to traveling and many of our athletes need to get used to competing on back to back days to simulate a conference championship setting. I was pleased with how many of our athletes were able to rise to the occasion. We also sent a few 5k runners to Youngstown State and I felt they ran great. In two weeks, we will be competing in the Patriot League Championships at Navy. We had plenty of people who solidified a spot on the 32-person roster. We will have to make some tough decisions but the more candidates we have over 32 people the better the team will be."
Recap
The pole vault has seen Gabriel Pecaitis's rise into a potent force. At last week's Penn Classic, his mark of 15-11.75 slotted sixth in Bucknell history. Today, the vaulter clinched second place in the open competition with a clearance of 15-3.Â
The quartet of Colby Belczyk, Brandon Foust, Zachary Jelinek, and Ethan Pratt-Perez combined to finish third in the 4000-meter distance medley relay. The grouping raced for a time of 10:12.02.Â
Wade Shomper grabbed fourth place in the shot put. Bucknell's school record holder threw 16.90m (55-5.25).Â
Jeffrey Cianfrocca earned ninth place in the high jump. The athlete cleared 6-6.50 to jump into the top ten.Â
