LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell women's basketball is hosting its Patriot League conference opener on New Year's Eve at 1 p.m. in Sojka Pavilion. The Bison will take on Holy Cross in their 80th meeting since the Patriot League was created in 1991. The Crusaders currently hold a 53-26 overall record over Bucknell and are on a six-game winning streak in the series.

Things were deadlocked at 19 apiece after one quarter before Holy Cross stretched the lead to double digits in the second period and never looked back.Junior guard Kendall Eddy and senior forward Meg Cahalan led a balanced scoring attack for the hosts with 14 points, while fellow senior Simone Foreman tallied 11 points and junior forward Janie Bachmann added 10 of her own. As a whole, six Crusaders scored eight points or more.Jaini Edmonds and Sabrina Larsson paced the River Hawks with 15 points apiece.

- Bucknell women's basketball rolled past Gwynedd Mercy 102-26 in Sojka Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. The Bison put up 100 points for the first time since 2002 and broke several records in the process. Isabella Casey, Tuana Coskun, Anna Kunzwiler and Kaila Richards combined for 80 points and all four players set career-highs in scoring.
- The Bison took a major 27-point lead in the first quarter kickstarted by an 11-0 opening performance from Coskun, who tied Bucknell women's basketball's record for made threes in a single game with eight. Only Molly Creamer and Trisha Krewson have made eight threes in a game in program history. She also led the Bison to a new team-record 15 threes made in the game.
- Coskun's 33 points led all scorers on the floor, and she was lights out shooting 12-of-16 from the field and 8-for-12 from three-point range. The junior set career highs in points, field goals made and three-pointers made.
- The team also set a new record in team assists in a single game with 31 on the afternoon.
- Casey's career-high 17 points came on 7-of-13 shooting with two threes. Kunzwiler and Richards each scored 15 points. Richards shot 6-of-11 from the field and 2-of-3 from three and Kunzwiler was nearly perfect from the field on 6-of-7 shooting.
- Marissa Smith and Grace Backus each scored their first collegiate basket in the final quarter of the game and Desirae Ashton saw 14 minutes of playing time and a career-high seven points.
- Bucknell shot 60.3 percent from the field and 53.6 percent on three-pointers. The 76-point victory marks the biggest margin of victory in school history, surpassing the previous mark of 47 points set back in 1985 against Coppin State.
