BEFORE BUCKNELL: Lettered five years in basketball and volleyball and four in lacrosse at The Hotchkiss School…served as a team captain in basketball…received senior basketball award..captained the volleyball team and received the senior volleyball award.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Amanda and Jared Backus..has two siblings; Garrett and Gavin…brother Garrett runs track at Bucknell…father played football at Springfield College and is a former Bucknell football defensive coordiantor…mother played soccer, squash and track and field at F&M and is a former associate athletic director/ senior woman administrator.
