"Fifth as a team is a little bittersweet because we were not too far from third, however it is much better than our sixth place finish in 2024," said head coach Kevin Donner. "Didden and Pratt-Perez ran very well to earn All-League honors. There was too much of a gap between our two All-League runners and the rest of our team, although Carter Paul did a great job over the last 3k and passed a lot of guys to solidify our fifth-place team finish over a very solid Colgate squad who beat us at this meet last year as well as the IC4As two weeks ago. Now we will regroup and prepare for the Mid-Atlantic Regionals in two weeks, which will be run in oue preferred 10k distance."
Didden kept pace with the large blob that formed immediately after the opening gun. He reached as high as nine at the 6.3k mark before dropping to tenth, running 24:41.3.
Pratt-Perez repeated his 2024 standing of 14th place by racing 24:51.8. The sophomore runner sat at 20th after 4k before boosting himself into All-League contention.
Carter Paul was 64th at the first mile marker and used a big push to place 32nd. His time of 25:42.0 notched the feat.
Senior Grant Kern also utilized a late drive to move himself into the Bison scoring column. The veteran runner raced 25:51.9 to finish 40th.
Ryan Pepperman rounded out the Bison scorers. The freshman runner sped 26:10.5 to obtain 55th. The first-year distanceman notched a Patriot League Rookie of the Week award this season and will look to take further steps.
The Orange & Blue will rest before returning to Bethlehem in two weeks for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals.
