"Our men ran with a lot of grit and although we were aiming for a top 10 finish, I was proud of how they really left it out there on the course," said head coach Kevin Donner. "Pratt-Perez was running tremendously and in position for All-Region and strained his hamstring over the 150 meters and lost 15 places but obviously showed a lot of grit over 6.1 miles."
Ethan Pratt-Perez headlined the Bison effort with his 39th place finish and 30:52.6 time. The sophomore distanceman appeared headed for All-Region (top 25) honors after sitting 16th at the two mile mark. He slid to 24th by the 8k station but was in contention before an unfortunate injury hindered his ascent. He heroically gutted out the final stretch to position the Bison to finish ahead of Keystone Clash rival Lehigh.Â
Henry Didden capped his Bucknell cross country career, placing 43rd and running 30:56.2. The senior runner fought through the massive horde congregated at the one mile mark to earn his final standing.Â
Carter Paul grew stronger and faster as the race progressed. The junior runner sat 135th after the first mile but advanced 59 spots to finish 76th on a time of 31:31.9. It was a remarkable feat of endurance running.Â
Trent Dinant battled through his hip injury to finish 85th in his final Bucknell cross country race. The senior logged 31:42.6 and improved seven spots after sitting 85th at the first mile mark.Â
Grant Kern rounded out the Bison scorers at 101st. The senior runner raced 31:52.6. Like Paul, he sat in the 130th at the first mile but cut his way through the glut to advance 31 spaces by the meet's end.Â
Princeton won the event with 45 points. Georgetown finished second with 63. Birhanu Harriman (Georgetown) finished first at 29:20.6, narrowly beating Princeton's Myles Hogan's 29:21.2.Â
Bucknell men's cross country did not qualify for the national championships and will return for the 2026 campaign.Â
