Leclercq's Hat Trick Headlines 4-2 Triumph over Towson

Bucknell continued its hot offensive play by taking 23 shots. The Bison have scored 18 goals over the last five games en route to a 4-1 record.
Leclercq opened her scoring with a penalty corner goal, followed by two penalty stroke tallies. Her hat trick boosted the senior defender to ten goals on the season for her first career double-digit goal campaign. Her previous hat trick came last year against Holy Cross on Sept. 28, 2024. Her 24 career goals place the reigning Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year two away from entering the Bucknell top ten.
Dakotah Trader opened the scoring at the eight minute mark with a goal during a broken play.
The 1-0 Towson lead held up until the second period when Katie Lintz scored her second goal of 2025. Sally Hunter, from outside the circle, sent a pass flying into the shooting zone and Lintz expertly deflected the speeding sphere past the desperate Towson keeper.
The 1-1 score remained until four minutes after halftime when the Bison drew one of their 11 penalty corners. Bucknell entered the weekend as one of the nation's best in converting penalty corners to goals and Leclercq ensured the trend continued. Hunter supplied the insertion, Nicky Punt settled the ball, and Leclercq slammed it home.
Leclercq scored her first penalty stroke seven minutes later. She lined up her shot for the left-corner pocket, and while the goalkeeper guessed correctly, she could not stop the sphere.
Her second penalty stroke occurred four minutes into the final stanza. This time, the cagey veteran went for the far right corner and again she converted to hit the double-digit goal mark on the season.

Trader scored her brace goal at the 58th minute to gather some happiness for Towson but the deficit was too great. The clock ran out and Bucknell returned to above .500.
The Bison remain roadbound on Oct. 22 when they face rival Lock Haven in the I-80 Romp.
