Women's Tennis Concludes Season-Opening Weekend at Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's tennis team went 13-1 in singles and 2-0 in doubles Sunday to wrap up the season-opening Bucknell Invitational at the Varsity Tennis Courts.
Tori Allen and Cameron King rounded out a strong first weekend, as they teamed up to defeat a pair from Millersville to go 3-0 in doubles at the invitational. Both won in singles on Sunday as well and finished undefeated at the Bucknell Invitational.
Mirra Manolov and Natalie Devraj also secured a 3-0 doubles record by defeating their Lafayette opponents 6-0 Sunday afternoon. Devraj went 3-0 on the weekend in singles play to get her Bucknell career started on a high note. Manolov won both her singles matches Sunday and finished 2-1 in singles play. Whitney King, Riley Jennings and Caroline Marcus each picked up singles wins Sunday and each went 2-0 for the tournament.
Overall, Bucknell posted a 19-4 record in singles play and a 7-3 mark in doubles against visitors Lafayette, Saint Francis and Millersville.
Bucknell is back in action next weekend when it competes at the three-day Saint Joseph's Invitational. The tournament begins Friday in Philadelphia, Pa.
