Saint Francis seized an early advantage and maintained their momentum throughout the game, embarking on a 3-1 scoring spree in the first half against the Bison. Key contributions came from junior Kayla Rhodes and sophomore Caylah Olay, who netted a pair of goals each for the Red Flash. Bucknell broke their silence with a goal from junior Izzy Lippolis.
In the second quarter, Bucknell surged back as freshman Campbell Collins unleashed a shot that found the mark, narrowing the gap to just one goal. However, Saint Francis responded with a three-goal streak before senior Isabelle Monaghan notched one for the Bison. Monaghan then secured two more goals to complete a hat trick.
Despite a spirited effort, Bucknell struggled to find the net again until the fourth quarter, when sophomore Gwen Kallmeyer scored the team's sixth and final goal.Â
