
Men's Track & Field Collects Ten Wins at Bloomsburg Invitational

BLOOMSBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell men's track & field team completed a successful tune-up at the Bloomsburg Invitational in preparation for the Patriot League Outdoor Championships. The Bison collected ten wins.

"We went into this competition with plenty of different missions, depending on the individual. Some people rested this weekend while others used today as a tuneup for leagues. Others were still trying to prove themselves and make the league lineup while others just wanted to end the season on a high note. Lots of questions were answered today."

Braden Stryker had a banner day in the shot put. His throw of 54-10 ¾ won the event and improved his fourth-best all-time mark in Bucknell history by eight inches.
Colby Belczyk brought home gold in the 400-meter dash. The junior recorded a time of 50.33.
Bucknell dominated the 800-meter run by claiming the top six placements. JP Byrnes won the event by setting a personal best time of 1:54.70.
The Bison claimed the top three spots in the 1500-meter run. Henry Didden's time of 3:59.78 claimed the victory.
The Orange & Blue claimed seven of the top eight placements in the 5000-meter run. Mason Barlow won the event by nearly eight seconds with a time of 14:43.35.
The "A" Team of JP Byrnes, Hayden Singer, Carter Boullard, and Carter Paul raced to victory in a time of 3:28.70.
Keenan LaMontagne threw himself into victory in the discus throw. He tossed the discus 156-08 feet.
Angelo Regec grabbed victory in the hammer throw. The junior hurler obtained a distance of 161-03 feet.
Matt Federovich set a personal best leap of 23-5 ½ feet in the long jump to obtain the win. Bucknell won the first four placements.
Michael Chernova won the pole vault on a season-best clearance of 14-1 ¼. He was nearly a foot better than the second-place finisher.
