Madison McGloin Heads to the Historic Penn Relays

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell women's track & field team will be sending senior thrower Madison McGloin to the historic Penn Relays for tomorrow's competition.

"Maddy has matured as a competitor and put plenty of time into her preparation for this outdoor season," said throws coach Ryan Protzman. "We are excited to get her into a competitive field."

McGloin will be participating in the hammer throw. The event begins at noon tomorrow with 22 throwers competing including numerous Power Five athletes. McGloin has been a potent force in the event. The senior moved into fifth place all-time at Bucknell with her throw of 177-7 at the Bison Outdoor Classic. She is coming off a performance at the Bucknell Team Challenge where she won the event on a throw of 174-11.

The rest of the Bison will be competing at the Bloomsburg Maroon & Gold Meet this weekend. It is the final tuneup before the Orange & Blue host the Patriot League Outdoor Championships on May 3-4.
