McGloin Places 7th in Hammer Throw Amidst Competitive Field at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Bucknell women's track & field thrower Madison McGloin participated in the hammer throw on the first day of the Penn Relays and finished seventh against a competitive group.
Results
McGloin's best throw of 174-2 came in flight one, providing her a top-ten placement in a field that included four Power Five throwers. Despite not equalizing her first attempt, McGloin's successive efforts posted marks of 170+ feet demonstrating ideal consistency as the thrower prepares for the Patriot League Outdoor Championships. Her 174-2 mark would rank seventh in Bucknell history if McGloin was not already slotted fifth at 177-7.
The Bucknell women compete this weekend at the Bloomsburg Maroon & Gold Meet before hosting the Patriot League Outdoor Championships on May 3-4.
