LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison women's track & field team hosts one of the biggest and most prestigious competitions in the East this weekend. Over 130+ collegiate programs and clubs will descend upon Lewisburg to participate in the Bison Outdoor Classic. It is a three-day extravaganza and should not be missed by any track & field fanatic.Â

Last Year's Bison Outdoor Classic
- The Orange & Blue crew set new records in the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays and pulled off wins in the 4x400-meter relay and 400-meter dash.
- Jessie Castellano won the 400-meter dash. The senior sprinter's time of 54.91 was more than a half second faster than the second-place finisher. The mark inserted her second all-time in Bucknell history for the event. Bridget Lalonde notched fourth with a time of 55.91.Â
- The foursome of Katherine Loew, Jessie Castellano, Meghan Quinn, and Bridget Lalonde not only won the 4x400-meter relay, but their time of 3:41.21 demolished both the meet's competition by over nine seconds and set the Bison school record for the event by a full second. The quartet previously established the reigning standard earlier in the season.
- The quartet of Bridget Lalonde, Meghan Quinn, Lila Gaughan, and Karen Hull finished third and set a Bucknell school record in the 4x100-meter relay by racing for a time of 46.38. The mark beat the group's previous best time of 47.14 by nearly a full second. The previous Bucknell record of 46.68 was set back in 2013.
- The Bison women won the Colonial Relays, scoring 152 points.Â
- Karen Hull won Field and Meet MVP, thanks to her first-place finishes in the long jump and high jump.Â
- Bucknell earned nine points in the shot put. Justley Sharp finished third and gained six points on her toss of 48-9 ¾. The mark ranks Sharp second in Bucknell history. Christine Ajao added three points with her sixth-place finish. Her throw went 43-8.
- Sharp continued her record-breaking performances with a third-place finish in the discus throw. The freshman phenom tossed the sphere 155-1 ¾ feet for six points and fourth in the Bucknell record books.
The Bison remain home next weekend for the Bucknell Team Classic on April 20.
