Bucknell at a Glance
• The Bucknell women's tennis team concludes the regular season with a pair of road duals at Lafayette and Loyola this week. The Bison look to end the season on a high note before the Patriot League Tournament begins on April 18.
• Bucknell is looking to snap a four-dual losing skid. Most recently, the Bison dropped a pair of Patriot League home duals to Army and Lehigh. Abby Platt was the lone Bison to earn a point against the Mountain Hawks on Sunday, winning at third singles. She was one of four Bison to go three sets in singles play. Platt also joined Whitney King in a win at first doubles against Lehigh.
• Platt earned her team-best 17th singles win of the season against the Mountain Hawks. She eclipsed her mark of 16 wins last season and matched Anna Lajos' team-best win total from 2023. With one more win, Platt will tie King's 2022 mark of 18, which are the most by a Bison since 2018-19.
• Platt and King improved to 21-5 in singles play over the weekend and are one win shy of matching King and Daniela Bellini's 2022 mark of 22-5. With one more win, King will move into a tie for eighth in program history with 62 career doubles victories.
• Bucknell finished the 2022-23 campaign 13-13 (4-3 PL) and reached the Patriot League semifinal round for a second time under Cecchini. The Bison defeated Colgate 4-0 in the quarterfinals for the program's 500th all-time victory in what was the 50th season of Bucknell women's tennis. At the end of the year, King was named to the All-Patriot League First Team and the Academic All-Patriot League Team.
• Bucknell returned all eight members of last spring's roster and added two newcomers: Tori Allen and Jaycie Mair. The roster is comprised of three seniors, three juniors, two sophomores and the two rookies.
• Seniors Tyne Miller, Kate Novak and Madi Sebulsky are serving as team captains this season. The trio was celebrated during last Saturday's Senior Day ceremony.
• Cecchini is in her fifth year leading the Bison. She owns a 44-43 record since arriving in Lewisburg.
