Women's Track & Field Earns Five Spots on Patriot League Academic All-League Team

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Patriot League office announced the Women's Track & Field Academic All-League Team on Monday. Bucknell placed five student-athletes, Lila Gaughan, Abby Kates, Katherine Loew, Anna Posh, and Meghan Quinn, on the prestigious list. It is the most student-athlete Bucknell has ever placed on the team, beating out the four earned in 2018.
Gaughan, a senior jumper from Moscow, Pennsylvania, and a Psychology major, posted a cumulative GPA of 3.66. The senior won silver in the long jump at the 2024 Patriot League Indoor Championships. Her mark of 19-5 ½ ranks second in Bucknell history.
Kates, a senior jumper from Aston, Pennsylvania, and a Markets, Innovations, and Design major, holds a cumulative GPA of 3.98. The jumper was part of Bucknell's incredible podium sweep in the high jump at the Indoor Championships. She tied for silver with her teammate Olivia Boyce. Kates's jump of 5-6 was three inches higher than the fourth-place participant.
Loew, a junior sprinter from White House Station, New Jersey and a Mathematical Economics major, has a cumulative GPA of 3.88. The runner was part of Bucknell's bronze-winning 4x400-meter relay quartet at league championships. The foursome orchestrated a time of 3:48.66.
Posh, a junior mid-distance runner from Morgantown, Pennsylvania and a Biomedical Engineering major, tallied a cumulative GPA of 3.92. The speedster belonged to the same 4x400-meter relay team as Loew that brought home bronze. She was also part of a distance medley relay team that ranks eighth in Bucknell history.
Quinn, a senior sprinter from Lititz, Pennsylvania, and a Psychology major collected a cumulative GPA of 3.66. The Warwick Winmaker is a two-time Academic All-League member, having won the honor in 2023. Quinn shined at the Indoor Championships, winning gold in the 200-meter dash, silver in the 60-meter dash, and bronze in the 4x400-meter relay. Her time of 23.73 in the 200-meter dash won the event and set a meet and Bucknell record. Her speed of 7.49 in the 60-meter dash gave Quinn her ninth Bucknell record. She belonged to the same 4x400-meter relay team as Loew and Posh.
Candidates for the Patriot League Academic All-League Team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 and complete one academic year at their institution.
