Donner's Debriefing
"Both teams were solid today. Plenty of people set personal or season-best marks. Even those who didn't are developing consistency, which is just as important. I feel good about where the programs are at right now. We need to stay healthy. We should see another jump in performances next week at the Spire Center."
Recap
Meghan Quinn, the Warwick Winmaker, set her team-high eighth-school record by winning the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.57. The senior speedster blazed through the competition, winning the event by 2.30 seconds. That fact renders the feat even more impressive since Quinn had no other runner "pushing" her. The previous record was set in 2023 (54.75) by Bridget Lalonde. Quinn now has 22 event victories in her illustrious career.
Colleen Linko also shined in the 400-meter dash, finishing fourth (57.85).
Caryn Rippey brought home gold in the 3000-meter run. The sophomore runner's time of 9:51.07 won the event by 3.91 seconds. Margaret McLoughlin placed seventh (10:09.78), and Lauren Trapani tapped eighth (10:13.04). Â
Abby Paczewski finished seventh (4:53.35) in the mile run. The senior's time transitioned her into fifth place in Bucknell history. Paczewski entered the top ten earlier this season.
Three Bison finished in the top ten of the shot put. Freshman Justley Sharp continues her sensational rookie year, placing second (46-10 ¾). Senior Siobhan O'Sullivan nabbed sixth (44-3 ½), and Christine Ajao slotted tenth (41-7 ¼).
Karen Hull and Lila Gaughan notched some top-five placements in the long jump. Hull grabbed third place with her attempt of 19-4 ¾, which would rank second in Bucknell history if Hull hadn't already won the top spot this season. Gaughan finished fifth (19-0 ½).
The jumps team continues its success in the high jump. Karen Hull slotted fourth (5-7), Abby Kates grabbed seventh (5-3), and Olivia Boyce earned eighth (5-3).
Katherine Lowe and Anna Posh finished in the top ten for the 500-meter dash. Loew's time of 1:14.92 clinched sixth and would rank fifth in Bucknell history had the runner not already held the third-best mark. Anna Posh slotted ninth with a time of 1:18.23.
The 4x400-meter relay quartet of Loew, Alison Cooke, Posh, and Linko finished seventh (3:55.68).
Freshman Katrina Torelli finished eighth (1:39.20) in the 600-meter run.
Mariana Engleby finished ninth (2:16.57) in the 800-meter run.
