Bison Go 3-0 in Singles on Day Two of River City Open

RESULTS
RICHMOND, Va. – The Bucknell men's tennis team posted three singles wins over opponents from William & Mary and a doubles victory over a Navy tandem on Saturday at the River City Open, hosted by Richmond. Liam Kilmer, Will Robinson, and Nelson Alapi all won to give the Bison a 6-1 singles record to start the tournament.
All three of Bucknell's singles wins came in straight sets, after the team won three three-setters a day earlier. Kilmer was a 6-3, 6-4 winner over Nikita Bortnichek; Alapi defeated Bryan Volk 7-5, 6-4; and Robinson was a 6-1, 7-6 (7-1) winner over Theo Nilsson.
Robinson was busy on Saturday, as he also played two doubles matches. He teamed with Kilmer for a 7-5 win over Navy's Graydon Buckingham and Zachary Quattro. Earlier in the day, he and Alapi dropped a tight 6-4 set to Bortnichek and Alexander Karman of William & Mary.
