Men's Cross Country Enlists in Colonial Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell University men's cross country team travels to Western Pennsylvania on Saturday, Sept.16, when the team competes in the RMU Colonial Invitational.

Donner's Debriefing

"We are excited to participate in a meet and on a course, which we have never run at," said head coach Kevin Donner. "We recruit in Western Pennsylvania, and former Bison Assistant Coach Bryan Delsite is the head coach at Robert Morris. He and his staff are doing a great job of building their cross country program. We are expecting a competitive meet. We also have some athletes from that part of the Commonwealth, so it is a homecoming meet for them. We are excited to see how our guys handle the first 8000m race of the season, especially the freshmen. The women look to build upon the nice first meet at Colgate."

Overview

On Sept. 2, the Bison finished fourth at the Harry H. Lang Invitational out of nine teams.
The Harry H. Lang Cross Country Course, the home course of Colgate Cross Country, will also host the Patriot League Championships on October 28.
Henry Didden ran amazingly, grabbing second in the event filled with strong competition, including runners from Power 5 school Syracuse. He had the best time of any Patriot League runner, with a speed of 19:02.09.
Grayson Crockett was the next Bison finisher, taking home 19th place (19:46.4). His teammate, Christian Cadmus, was literally right behind him on the course and in the standings by grabbing 20th place with a time of 19:46.9.
This is the first meet hosted by Robert Morris University that Bucknell will be attending.

After the RMU Colonial Invitational, the Bison will take a week off before returning to compete at the prestigious Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh on Saturday, Sept. 30.
